Makueni leaders join hands in call for unity

Makueni leaders,led by Governor Kivutha Kibwana,have called for unity in the service of Wananchi as the County administration gathers steam.Addressing ACK faithfuls at Unoa grounds during a celebration to mark the first anniversary of the makueni ACK diocese,Kibwana,Machakos senator Johnstone Muthama,Makueni mp Daniel Maanzo,Former MPs Justice Kasanga Mulwa,Gideon Ndambuki and Peter Kiilu said they were ready to work together to change the face of Makueni and Ukambani as a whole.
Kibwana congratulated Peter kiilu,Philip Kaloki and Agnes Ndetei for their appointments to chair different parastatals,saying it was a big score for Makueni while urging the appointees to use their power to address the challenges facing Ukambani.Ndambuki,a former senatorial aspirant,warned those still engaged in politics thet they were like children in the wilderness and urged them to give Kibwana and all those in power their time to serve the people."politics ended in march,and those still harboring political ambitions should wait for 2017.I personally will support the governor,and i urge all to do the same so we bring development to our people,"said Ndambuki.
Kibwana on the other hand reiterated his commitment to work with the national government to ensure development of projects such as Konza city and the Thwake Multipurpose dam,Which he said will totally change the face of Makueni once Complete.The Governor said his Administration will work closely with the clergy that he lauded for the selfless efforts to promote social development.On a light note,Kibwana challenged the clergy to work towards unifying leaders like in the recent case of Machakos Senator Muthama and Governor Alfred Mutua.He Pledged the county government support for ACK's child care center,promising sh300,support the project
Kibwana said the county government would spend a further sh700,000 to put up a model early childhood education center among other developmental projects planned for this year.The occasion was graced by ACK leader Eliud Wabukhala who urged county-leaders including governors,Mps and ward reps to work together to ensure succes of devolution.Wabukhala said the few challenges facing were only teething problems that would soon fade away and give away to unprecedented development in the counties.
